Angband, The Hells of Iron by EthalenSkye Angband, The Hells of Iron by EthalenSkye
The lair of Morgoth and the peaks of Thangorodrim behind.

Fingolfin has come for a reckoning...

Symmetry is purposefully off. This is the realm of Morgoth, Lord of Chaos and Disruptor of Order, Master of Mockery and Duke of Discord. His plans were always to mutilate and destroy what Iluvatar and the Ainur had wrought.
His territory cannot be pretty or perfect......

That must be Luthien glowing in front of Angband, right? Awesome how she is the sole beauty that stands out in such an evil looking, yet awesome looking, fortress.

Great rendition, very creepy :) And of course, it's always nice to see a dark-haired canon Fingolfin :) I can so imagine Morgoth's form emerging from the shadows any moment.. O_O

Oooo! I can see Mortgoth creeping out from the dark as well! Great use of imagination. ;)
Yes, it's quite important to remember that Fingolfin was dark-haired. :)

This is a great picture! Dramatic and majestically menancing, but yet with the small glimpse of hope in the coming of the courageous High King. Very good indeed

Fingolfin is one of the most inspirational and heroic characters of the entire book of stories contained in the Silmarillion. This is a very nice depiction, conveying the enormity and dread of the situation, as well as the bright character of Fingolfin without getting caught up in details that would not be very literally correct, since many aspects of the elves are never described by Tolkien. I like it.

I found this tale to be one of the most easliy visual parts of the book, next to Beren and Luthien and Turin. Very cool!

I found this to be very symbolic after it was completed. As to inspire to face forward against tough situations or dire times.
